Who's Watching You?

Your life should be your ministry. When people see you at the grocery store, work, school, restaurant, etc...people should be able to see Jesus in you. You never who is watching you so you can't afford to compromise. You would be surprise to know who is watching you. We should represent Jesus at all times.

Even your enemies should be able to see Jesus in you. Never, I repeat never get down on your enemies level, choose to love them. The word says in Matt 5:43-47 "You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you:Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?"

Lastly you should do what is right because your heavenly father is watching you. He sees when no one else sees. You can't hide from him. Jer 23:23-24 “Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord, “and not a God far away? Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the Lord. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord."

So live your lives in the light. Choose love instead of hate. Don't just talk the talk but walk the walk of a Christian. People are watching you, what will they see in you?

Come Boldly To The Throne

One trick the enemy uses to keep us bound when we fall into sin is shame. He wants to keep us in condemnation to make us feel we are too unworthy to come to Jesus to ask for forgiveness. Let's look at the definition of what shame is...

Psychological Description: Shame is a feeling of unworthiness intensified by embarassment due to public exposure of incompetence, social ineptitude, or moral weakness. The core idea behind shame is a desire to hide, escaping the condemning eyes of those who know what was done.

Biblical Description: Shame stimulates a right view of self and prepares the heart for repentance. Feelings of guilt, fear and shame are all beneficial emotions given to man to cause him to see his need of a Savior. There is a hope for the man who has no shame. Through salvation and the renewing of the mind (both works of the Holy Spirit) he can be forgiven, cleansed and transformed to walk in newness of life.

(Reference taken from "The Christian Guide to Psychological Terms" by Marshall and Mary Asher)

If you have fallen into sin there is hope, you aren't beyond redemption I don't care what the sin is. Don't listen to the lie of the enemy. We have a loving father who wants to forgive us and turn us on the right path. He tells us this in his word:

Hebrews 4:16 ...Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1 John 2:2....And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world

1 John 4:10...Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Ephesians 1:7 ....In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.

There are so many scriptures on forgiveness, I encourage you to look in your concordance and look up every verse on forgiveness and study the word. This is the main story of the gospel. Jesus came to die for our sins so that we can be free. He paid it all on the cross, he said it is finished.

You can be free, deliverance is available for you. In fact you can experience this freedom this very minute.

Say this prayer : Dear Jesus, I thank you that you died for my sins. I ask now for your forgiveness. Wash me clean. Create a clean heart and renew a right spirit in me. I thank you I am free because your word says who the son sets free is free indeed. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Speak The Word Over Your Life

I want to share with you a tool God gave me many years ago. I had a problem with my thinking. Some may refer to as stinking thinking. The Lord led me to use his word to cast down negative thoughts. I made a confession list of scriptures to speak over myself. Every morning I spoke this list over myself and it gave me victory over this area. This has become part of my life. Every morning as soon as I get out of bed I start speaking the word over myself. I highly recommend you to make your own confession list specific to your own needs. For example if you need healing, I would find scriptures on healing to stand on. I promise if you are consistent with speaking the word over yourself a change will take place. The word says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. It will increase your faith and cast down every lie of the enemy. It's like giving yourself a transfusion of God's truth. It will become part of you.

I have listed some examples of scriptures below for you:

Gal 3:13............Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us...

1Pet 2:24..........(Jesus) bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness -- by whose stripes you were healed.

Isa 53:5.............He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

Mt 8:17.............He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.

Ps 107:20.........He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Prov 3:8............It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.

Ex 15:26............I am the Lord who heals you.

Ps 103:3...........Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases...

Ex 23:25...........serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.

Prov 16:24.........Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.

Isa 58:8.............your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.

Ps 118:17..........I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

Ps 147:3...........He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Prov 17:22.........A merry heart does good, like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.

3John 2.............Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Make the scripture personal to you. Start off by saying "I am" then say aloud the scripture you want to stand on. Ex: "Lord I thank you by your stripes I am healed. No sickness or disease shall dwell in any cell of my body."

Pray and ask God to show you what scriptures you specifically need to stand on. He will answer you because it's his will for you to be made whole. May God bless you abundantly.

A Call For Love

Dear Jesus,

Your word says we are to love one another. You see many examples of this in the bible:

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.(John 13:34)

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.(John 3:35)

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.(Romans 12:10)

In this world today there's seems to be a spirit of anger. People are just plain mad and the sad thing is I don't know if they even know why. Heal our land Lord. Help us to love one another. Remove the hate and bitterness in our hearts and replace with love, meekness, gentleness, humility, and compassion.

Your word says in Psalm 147:3"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Heal our hearts Lord today. Your people are so broken and distraught. They are crying out for help. In many cases their anger is just a facade to hide a broken heart. They don't want to let anyone in for fear of being hurt. I know personally I had put up my wall in the past. I didn't want to let anyone in too close so I wouldn't get hurt again. Thankfully you have begun the healing process of healing my heart. I can truly say you are a heart mender. Thank you Lord.

If you are reading this post today and you are heartbroken. Ask God to heal your heart and to fill you with His love. If you have a surrendered heart I promise He will do it. He's a faithful God. His word is true and He can not lie. I leave you today with this scripture as a promise for you to stand on.

Psalm 34:17-19
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.

Praying For Those in Positions of Influence

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV)

Have you ever stopped to consider the number of people in authoritative positions over you? Once you stop to think about this, I think you’ll be surprised at how many there are.

From federal, state, and civic governmental positions, to church officials, to parents and other family members, and even to those we look up to—at any given moment there are hundreds of people in positions of power, authority, and influence over us.

They need our prayers.

Why?

QUALITY OF LIFE
One reason is stated in the scripture above. So that we might “live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” Those in authority over us have sway over the quality of life we enjoy. We may not agree with the politics or morality of these leaders, but we still need to pray for them, so that God’s power is unleashed in their lives.

THE ENEMY’S ATTACK
Another reason to pray for those in authority, especially when it concerns other Christians, is because Satan is working extra hard in the lives of these people. If the enemy of our souls can make them stumble and fall, he also makes several people who look up to them fall. This is especially true in the church.

WE’RE TO SUBMIT TO THEM
God’s Word makes it clear that we’re to submit to those in authority (Romans 13:1-7; Hebrews 13:17). Submission is difficult because it means voluntarily giving up what we want to follow what someone else wants.

If I’m going to submit to someone, I want to know God is working in their lives. How can we be assured of that? Pray for them. God hears our prayers and acts in accordance with His will.

We’re living in a time when our country and its leaders (and our churches and their leaders) need our prayers like never before. Prayer changes situations and people. Don’t give up on people. Pray for them.

Father God,

How blessed we are to be Your children. We confess that You are the Supreme Authority in our lives. Because we have submitted our wills to Yours, we pray for those You have placed in positions of authority over us. Protect them from the enemy’s ploys and grant them wisdom, guidance and discernment. If they don’t know You as Savior and Lord, we pray for their eyes and hearts to be open to You.

We ask this in the precious, perfect, and powerful name of Jesus,
Amen
